San Angelo Comic Con

 Hey guys,

Here we are with another review. This is for San Angelo Comic Con. First off i just want to say its actually not a terrible Location and in General San Angelo is actually a pretty cute and cool little town. There isn't much that goes on in that town so the Conventions are bringing some cool new nerd culture.

Ok lets get to it first lets start with the location. The Location wasn't terrible actually. It was inside Fosters Communication Coliseum. It was like a small ( but decent sized ) arena and i enjoyed it. It fit quite a few vendors and a panel room that was big enough to hold the Cosplay content and some cool Panels. The Parking was pretty nice too. Plenty of space and a good spot for load in and easy access for everything.

Security is next... the security guards were on point for sure. They were on top of things and constantly moving around and checking in on everybody and not to mention they were all so nice and had such good attitudes and talked with respect.

Vendors now here is something pretty nice i saw so many local artist there that was quite nice and i enjoyed how much this con supported their locals. They had pretty awesome guests as well i mean come on Million Dollar Man, Olivia Hack, Lizzie Freeman, Carla Perez most known for Rita From the Power Rangers, Greg Evigan, and Jesse Borrego. Some old School Guests so worth seeing. Of course the Cosplayers as well. Sabre Grey Cosplay , Chief Glitz and Glam, Illuminatikittn, Bfg Cosplay, and Preslie Belladonna. All of these guests were kind and amazing.

Over all feel of the convention was nice too they had food wise a concession stand and you could meet your basics or drive easily a few minutes down the road or door dash something. A;; things were pretty close so easy access to food and coffee....don't forget the coffee...p.s. try 7 Brew thank you for the suggestion BFG Cosplay i loved it.

There were a few good panels but not too many panels however they were standard getting to know your guests and then a few about getting into Cosplay and a hot sauce challenge...which was pretty fun and funny to watch.

All Right lets get down to the overalls shall we ?

Location was 9/10 I really didn't have problems finding it and navigating it. Parking was great so over all feel was good but i feel the climate control was a little hard in a coliseum.

Security was 10/10

Entertainment 6/10 it could use a lot of sprucing up on the entertainment part

Vendors and food Vendors were like 10/10 ( more unique vendors and locals love that ) but the food 5/10 could be something else other than just a concession stand

Badge pick up was super easy and had no issues there and pricing i felt was fair so 10/10

Guests and celebs 9/10 i think they could use maybe one or two more and make them do a bit more programming so we can get to know them all a little better other than that it was pretty good. They were all amazing guests.

Promotion was better than last year but could use a bit more promoting so i say 7/10

Overalls

Over all i would say this cute smaller comic con 7/10 but with a few tweaks this con could be such a big hit. I can't wait to see it continue to grow.

Anime Village Festival and Otaku Food Festival

 Lunar New Year Review,

As you know once ( if i am feeling extra more than once a month ) we do a review on the festivals and or conventions and this month we had 2 to review so lets get to it.

First off I just want to say how unique and fun this was. This one was inside the Asia Time Square Mall in Grande Prairie, Texas and outside as well. The street food and a few vendors were outside but the artists and guests were on the inside which made it best for those selling anything to do with or on paper lol.

I and a few other cosplayers were set next to the voice actors that were there and that was pretty cool made us feel even more special ( woo woo) we were inside basically an Asian mall and that was pretty cool to be honest with you. The area and the scenery there was just beautiful and so the location its self was amazing. The parking at the place was not so great it took me an hour to fin d parking almost but hey that means damn what a good turn out.

One of the best things about the festival is it is all free to go to. I mean you have to pay to get the merch and food but there is no cover charge and they travel all over Texas in various locations to have these festivals. They are all themed as well.

The owner and workers are so kind and i enjoyed working with them. The festival itself has some really cool entertainment for example the Chinese Lion Dance Parade they did was so fun and whimsical. I enjoyed it every time and they did it at east 3 times a day. They had singing and dancing performers and they also had an aerialist performing outside as well. Lets not forget the Sumo wrestlers they had were super entertaining as well. Last but not least i the entertainment was the food !!!

Lets get to it on that subject because yes mama, papa, grandma, grandpa, daddy whatever it was amazing. A little pricey but what isn't now a days. The food was awesome ranging from all areas of Asian culture and man was it good.

I can continue on and on but lets get to ratings

Location: 8/10 only because Parking sucked a bit but good news for the bad news for my feet lol

Entertainment 9/10  The Lion Dance could get a little noisy and in the middle of traffic but it was so cute and beautiful

vendors and food 10/10 no issues here!!!!

No badges so i would say 10 / 10 lol

Overall this was definatly worth it and i will attend every time
