Cult Classic Convention is a smaller horror convention in Bastrop, Texas. Its owned by the same people who ow the Gas station about 10 minutes away from the convention center that it is held in. The Gas station is a bbq and horror memorabilia shop. It also just so happens to be the original gas station used in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I thought that was -pretty flippin cool and they sell their bbq ( called we slaughter BBQ) at the convention as well. Smarttttttt!!! Anyways it is owned by Roy and Lisa Rose ( who are such pleasant people to work with and talk to ) . They put on such a unique and cool event. As usual you have your vendors, special guests, photo ops, and hey guess what this year they brought me in as a guest content creator/ Cosplayer ( I LOVED IT BTW). They had a really fun host named Scarah Damsel Of the Doomed that was the host for panels and the cosplay contest. She was bloody good and sweet.
They had some unique vendors and some pretty cool guests if you ask me. All of the guests were wonderful and such pleasant people to talk to. I wont say who but i will say a lovely lady and a lovely gentlemen that were guests there made an ever lasting impression on and in my life and i will never forget how welcomed and warm they made me feel. I love them so much and will forever be their biggest fans not just as actors but as people. They had a Porky's reunion which was great as well.
I loved that they also brought the twisted Metal Sweet tooth truck there to do photos with as well as Paulsreelwheels bringing the Delta 88 from Evil dead there. It was such a cool thing to see and of course i had to get photos with it. They also did some really cool stuff that i was so pleasantly surprised by which was a shelter to adopt some puppies. Of course my mom and Michael had to go and love on them all day ( me too). They had an after party and i didn't go because i am super lame and sleepy. However i heard from some people that it was so much fun and from the last time i went to one of their after parties i was sure it was just as fun as the one i had went to if not more fun this time.
I love the guests because they are not the newest actors and actresses they are the ones from older cult classics and you get to meet some of the greatests or the greats and i am living for it. I am a classic horror fan and also i love the late 70's to the 90's horror movies. They were the best !!!!
Great vendors with some really unique finds and of course artists, and even Chamoy candies and baked goods. Panels were great and put on the main stage which is a little cramped of a space but it was ok . They also had vendors outside and some live bands that would play there as well. That was cool as hell to me.
Over all i would like to say this was a fun convention. Great guests and great food. The vendors were good and i loved that they were all pretty unique. I saw alot of authors selling their books as well and i loved that. I am such a bookworm so that was cool to me. The owners were very kind and funny as hell sometimes and they seemed to love their job.
I was a guest cosplayer / vendor there and it was such a fun time. I loved everyone i met and the people who came and chatted with me loved hearing about what it is i do and i was selling art and stickers and stuff and found out you horror freaks ( like myself) are obsessed with stickers !!! I had no issues all weekend!

vendors 8/10 for uniqueness and over all fun merch. Reasonable pricings too1
Location 8/10 as well. I feel like it is a bit small only because of the main stage people have to stand in front of the vendors which i over heard a few people saying it is unfortunate that they cant get to a few of the vendors because so many people were standing in their way and there was no room to get by. I understand that other than that i love the convention center for sure.
Guests 10/10 i can not complain one bit with any of the guests . My interactions with them were great and all of them very kind!!
Parking 10/10 honestly parking was free and there was plenty of space and easy walk to the convention center
Staff 10/10 all of the staff were very kind and helpful and i had fun joking around with a few of them!!
Over all honest opinion on the entire convention 9/10
The only thing that would bump it up one step further for me and a few other i heard is the space between the main stage and the vendors. Other than that it was a very nice and fun convention and as you leave be sure to check out the Gas Station!!! The guy that was working there on Sunday when we went by has so much kick ass knowledge and is happy to share it with you. what a pleasant guy to chat with. So would i recommend this convention? Absolutely i would.
